Front Porch Strategies is an award winning national voter contact firm based out of Columbus, Ohio. Our passion is helping Republican candidates, elected officials, and conservative causes win by personally connecting them with voters and constituents.
We are currently looking for ambitious interns with a sincere interest in advancing in Republican politics, campaign management, marketing and business. If you’re prepared to take an in-depth look at the business side of politics and how it directly relates to the political campaign process, this internship program is for you!
Goals
Participation in our internship program will introduce you to the inner-workings of a voter contact firm and provide you with experience and insight that will be invaluable as you embark upon your career in politics, communications, or business. You will work with our staff on campaigns across the United States and Canada, helping to implement campaign operations and grassroots strategies.
Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to, research, data entry, answering phones and receiving guests and packages. You will also have the opportunity to gain real-life experience in the strategy and implementation of grassroots campaigning. This may include making phone calls, knocking on doors, or helping with other events for Republican candidates.
You will also be included on special projects, weekly meetings with one of the partners, and the company book club, among many other opportunities.
You will be expected to work at least 20 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or recent graduate
Outstanding organizational skills
Ambition for advancement
Self-Motivated
Interest in Republican politics
Duration of Internship
Internships are arranged during the interview process but typically run for 3 months. The next cycle of internships will begin in May 2011 and run through July 2011.
