With Congressional blackout periods rapidly approaching, don’t miss valuable opportunities to talk with your constituents about the work you have been doing and the recent happenings in Congress-which have been quite a bit.  Whether you are on the House Oversight Committee and have exclusive insight into the IRS Scandal, or you want to educate your district on the current state of the Veterans Bills, your constituents want and deserve an update.  TeleForums are a great way to personally connect with the people you represent, and engage in conversations about the issues they find most important.  There is no better way to communicate with your constituents …

Monday through Thursday has proven to be the best days of the week to schedule a teleforum. TeleForums are most successful around 7:00 pm, when families are home, have eaten dinner, and have free time to listen in. Think about other planned activities going on when scheduling your teleforum.  Avoid days where there are large events, such as sporting events, that would lesson participant involvement in a TeleForum. Time TeleForums with pertinent legislation that affects your district or with important events that constituents would like to hear more about.
